Yesterday I watched the two movies “Sicko” and “Bowling for Columbine” by Michael Moore. I already watched “Bowling for Columbine” before and Michael Moore definitely influenced me and the way I think about the issues that are addressed in these movies. In my view, Michael Moore is an outstanding director and documentary film producer. He uses various items, such as music, personal stories, emotions, logos, pathos, and ethos to influence and convince his audience or spectators. In today’s world, it is very rare that movies are made about important local and global issues that affect everybody and which are big problems. Moore does not shrink from criticizing the American system and government, plus, he expresses his view about certain critical issues such as the health care system (in Sicko) or the arms craziness of the Americans in his movies. Moore does not care what other people might think about him and he is prepared to fight for his view and the right to express his own opinion in public. He is a person who tries to better the America that we are all living in and to open the eyes of many American citizens. These are all reasons why I admire him.
